Ginger-Lemon Soda | Easy Homemade Summer Cooler
Jogging back my memory to my school days and the summer vacations, I’m reminded of the time when me and my cousins, after a few cricket matches braving the summer heat would cool-off with some Ginger-Lemon soda from the shop just across the grounds. I’m sure you also have similar memories of this summer cooler and agree with me when I say that Ginger-Lemon Soda is easily one of the best thirst quenchers. Read on to know how to make this refreshing drink at home!
How to make Ginger-Lemon Soda at Home:
To explain in brief, we need to make a concentrate of ginger and lemon infused sugar syrup and then blend it with the club soda. This concentrate can be made beforehand and refrigerated for upto a week. Making the concentrate is the first step and the most important one. Once the concentrate is ready and atleast at room temperature, we can go ahead with making the ginger-lemon soda.
All we need for this is to mix the concentrate with chilled club soda in the proportion of your preference, with loads of ice. Done! I personally prefer my soda to have a strong flavour of the ginger-lemon and hence I usually fill my ice loaded glass upto two-thirds with the ginger-lemon sugar concentrate and then top it with the soda.
Garnish with a lemon wedge, mint leaves or go for a watermelon wedge like I did. Also, I added a dash of rose syrup for an additional flavour and also for some visual pop. Give it a good mix and enjoy this fizzy refresher. Alternately, pair it with some Charmuri!
